MEET DAN, A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO CARRY THIS alone.
I’m a Pennsylvanian-based therapist who speacializes in anxiety, depression, relationships, families and couples.
MY NAME is DAN.
I’m a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where I help adults, teens, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with empathy, clarity, and practical support. My work centers on building trusting therapeutic relationships and offering a grounded, strengths-based approach to change.
Many of the people who come to see me are at a turning point — dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, grief and loss, work-life balance concerns, or the emotional weight of divorce and family conflict. I also specialize in supporting individuals experiencing vicarious trauma — including nurses, first responders, therapists, and others whose work exposes them to trauma or tragedy — helping them separate the pressures of their professional lives from their personal well-being.
I believe that healing often begins with being heard. Together, we explore patterns that might be keeping you stuck, strengthen skills for communication and emotional regulation, and uncover ways to reconnect with meaning, purpose, and resilience. My style is grounded in evidence-based approaches — integrating emotionally focused therapy, family systems work, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and person-centered support tailored to each individual’s needs.
Outside the therapy room, I served as a director of a family therapy program and an adjunct psychology professor — roles that deepen my appreciation for both the science and the human experience of healing.
HEre’s what I believe about therapy:
Therapy shouldn’t feel overwhelming…
I believe therapy should be practical, honest, and meaningful—not confusing or overwhelming.
This is a partnership…
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how things ended up this way. Together, we slow things down, make sense of the stress, improve communication, and build skills to manage emotions, relationships, and life’s pressures more effectively.
Therapy should feel real…
I believe therapy should feel comfortable and real—not overly clinical or judgmental. You can expect a direct, supportive approach where you can be honest about what’s actually going on.
